Ricky is an experienced music business professional with a career spanning the live sector, recording and publishing.​ Starting out as a touring and recording musician, he played bass guitar in the band Scylla alongside Toni Halliday, penning tracks that appeared in the movies Showgirls (Paul Verhoeven) and Nowhere (Gregg Araki).

Ricky then signed to Dave Stewart’s publishing company, Anxious Music and, in 1999, took over the Anxious music recording studio - The Crypt - which he has run as a commercial studio ever since.

Using The Crypt Studio as a base, Ricky started Bleach Productions, a Production Music Library and audio post production house. The music library is now sub-published worldwide by BMG and has over 100 albums across all genres.
​
Ricky has a parallel career in filming, working as a location sound recordist on an array of projects across various industries: commercials, TV, film and music. This has given him the opportunity to travel the world making documentaries for the likes of BBC, Netflix, Channel 4, Sky and the Discovery Channel.
