Alan Parsons is a renowned English audio engineer, musician, record producer, and songwriter. He is celebrated for his innovative production work with famous rock bands and for the progressive rock project that bears his name.
Before forming his own group, Parsons had a distinguished career as a sound engineer at Abbey Road Studios.
The Beatles: He was the assistant engineer on the band's final two albums, Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970).
Pink Floyd: Parsons engineered the band's landmark album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), which is considered one of the most sonically brilliant albums ever made. His work on this album earned him a Grammy nomination and worldwide attention.
Other artists: He also produced successful albums for other artists, including Pilot, Steve Harley, and Al Stewart.
